Traditionally, it is believed that women focus more on their beauty and make all efforts to maintain it. However, a recent survey challenges this notion, revealing that women are now prioritizing health over beauty.

Conducted in the United States, this survey brought to light several unknown aspects about women’s priorities. According to a report by the New York Post, the survey shows that the majority of women place health above beauty. For nearly 80% of women, their primary focus is on maintaining their health.
Health Over Beauty
The survey included 2,000 American women, most of whom demonstrated a strong inclination towards health consciousness. The findings indicate that 33% of women prioritize their mental and emotional well-being, while 30% focus on physical health. They believe that good health is more critical than beauty, although 22% still consider beauty their top priority.
The Desire to Be Healthy
Approximately 79% of women in the survey felt that when they are healthy and fit on the inside, they also feel beautiful on the outside. These women perceive themselves as looking younger than their actual age, with an average difference of 8 years. Notably, 8 out of 10 women stated that they have never considered cosmetic procedures like botox or fillers. They are confident in their natural beauty and age, regardless of societal standards.
Social Pressures and Beauty
Interestingly, the survey revealed that women begin to feel societal pressures to maintain their beauty around the age of 39. Around 40% believe they should look young even as they age. Social media, TV advertisements, and friends significantly influence this belief. Despite this, 28% of women said they do not adhere to a daily beauty routine and prefer their own unique regimen, spending less than 11 minutes on makeup.
Dissatisfaction with Age
Lastly, the survey highlighted that many women prioritize their internal health over physical appearance. About 24% occasionally feel dissatisfied with their age and beauty due to the unrealistic standards set by beauty advertisements.
