How many chemical reactions does the human brain do in a second?

Information is  traveling with 260 mph, more than 100,000 chemical reactions happens per second, 86 billion cells and over 10,000 types of neurons, the human brain is probably the most complex entity known to man. And for all of our advancements in science, especially neuroscience, there is still more we don’t know about the human brain than what we should know.  

This fascination with the brain and psychology has led the way to some interesting and thought-provoking Tv programs like National Geographic’s Brain Games, and has also been the backdrop for some intriguing storylines.
