OTS Scheme in UP: The one-time settlement (OTS) scheme has been implemented for electricity defaulters in Uttar Pradesh from June 1, i.e. today. This scheme will be applicable for farmers, traders and domestic consumers till June 30. Significantly, on the initiative of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government on Tuesday started One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for electricity consumers. This scheme has come into effect from 1st June.
Domestic consumers and farmers were taken care of in the scheme

Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma had said that consumers with electricity bill arrears up to Rs 1 lakh will get the facility to pay in six installments, while the outstanding amount above Rs 1 lakh can be paid in 12 instalments.
Payment of outstanding bills can also be submitted online
Please note that this time the registration fee will not be required in OTS and the exemption can be availed directly. Consumers can pay the outstanding bill online on the website of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation www.upenergy.in. Or you can also pay the outstanding bill by visiting the electricity house of your area. It is worth noting that this scheme is a big relief for those people who are unable to pay the electricity bill due to poor financial condition.
